Hi, I’m Blake Putnam.
I’m the founder of P3 Strategies — and a lifelong believer in the power of people to drive meaningful change.
Over the last two decades, I’ve worked across the nonprofit and education sectors in roles that have challenged me to think strategically, lead collaboratively, and show up with both head and heart. I’ve led fundraising teams, built development programs from the ground up, and worked with boards, volunteers, and donors to align around a common vision. Through it all, one thing has been clear: when people realize their potential, they lead purposeful lives.
I believe everyone can accomplish extraordinary feats and that when we invest in ourselves—amazing things can happen. This is what inspired me to launch P3 Strategies.
This work combines the parts of my career I’ve loved most—coaching people to live to their fullest potential, building strong systems, and helping nonprofit professionals grow their confidence, clarity, and capacity. Whether I’m working with an executive director navigating organizational change or a development team refining their strategy, my approach is rooted in listening deeply, asking the right questions, and co-creating a clear path forward.

My Career Journey
I began my professional journey in alumni relations and development at Drew University, where I quickly discovered my passion for building connections and driving impact through strategic fundraising. That path took me through leadership roles at organizations, both small and large nonprofit organizations. I led multimillion-dollar fundraising campaigns and built comprehensive development programs from scratch.
But I also noticed something else: the most effective leaders weren’t always the ones with the biggest titles — they were the ones who had clarity, compassion, courage, and support.
In 2024, I found myself at a crossroads. I had a successful career in the nonprofit sector, yet I felt stuck, lost, and frustrated. I was stuck and lost on a path that was not taking me anywhere, and I was frustrated that I could not navigate my way out. I knew there was more out there, and I had to find it. That ignited my search for how I could be an agent of change, and I found Rutgers Leadership Coaching for Organizational Performance. This experience led me to start on a new path.
